Fine Arts And Crafts Entrepreneurs (FAACE) is all about the business of art!
Artists Draw Large Crowds, Get Creative Helping Kids Without Homes
The Fine Arts
and Crafts Entrepreneurs (FAACE) enjoyed a successful art show and reception for
the second year in a row.
The two-day Valentine’s Day themed “Art With Heart”, was held at St. Andrews In the Pines Episcopal Church in Peachtree and benefited the abandoned and abused children who live in the cottages at The Children’s Village at Christian City.
Over $1,000 was presented to Heidi Becker, Director of Marketing and Development by FAACE Co-Chairs Janet McGregor Dunn and Claudia Wood after the show (photo below). Participating artists donated a piece of their art for an auction to benefit the Village. Many of the artists also donated a portion of their proceeds.
Kylie Dickinson (photo above) volunteered to play Friday evening and Saturday during the show as a benefit for the Children's Village. She donated her tips to the Village raising enough to sponsor a child for close to four full months.
In
addition to hosting shows and providing art venue information for their members,
FAAACE holds monthly informative meetings designed to foster better business
practices and growth. They meet the first Tuesday of each month at the Towne
Club Center in Peachtree City at 7 p.m. First time visitors are welcome.
